Blanche Burch

Blanche is the Center's Manager of Programs and Research. She is a veteran "Emoryite," having begun her career at Emory University Hospital in 1986. Blanche also earned a B.A., from Emory College under the staff courtesy scholarship program. Ms. Burch has been a member of the Center's team since 1999. She is responsible for managing departmental and grant budgets, to include compliance, planning, forecasting, account implementation, cost center set up, and departmental as well as annual reports. She is also the human resources representative for the department. Additional service to the University includes membership on the President's Commission on Race and Ethnicity (PCORE) as Co-Chair of Staff Initiatives Committee (2006-2008); and Chair of PCORE (2008-2009).

Blanche is an active participant and facilitator in her church's ministry to women. She is passionate about mentoring and is proud to have taken numerous young women under her wing. She is an avid reader, published poet, and budding author.

Blanche is dedicated to her family and is a hands-on, up-close-and-personal mother and grandmother. She has 2 sons, 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and one very pampered dog named Brandy.
