Curriculum Development

In order to motivate and develop the scientists of tomorrow, science curriculum must better integrate biological and physical sciences, include practice with experimental design, and improve quantitative and communications skills. We believe that capturing the excitement and enthusiasm of faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral associates to design courses and modules using their own research expertise, best employs the strengths of a research university.

K-12 Curriculum Development
Through our K-12 teacher workshops and fellowships, we empower teachers to develop engaging inquiry-based K-12 lessons that work for their students, and highlight Emory research and researchers. We are experts in utilizing Problem-Based Learning in middle and high school science and math courses.

Undergraduate Curriculum Development
Our curriculum and laboratory developments focus on: integrating research-based modules and cases into introductory courses, building courses for interdisciplinary science programs, and integrating genetics and informatics in the introductory biology course series.
