Dr. Dwight
Duffus (Mathematics, Emory) with the help of Jordan Rose, Michael
Ferrara, and Aron Barby, is developing materials to be used in a
new Math 116 Calculus II course to be offered for students in the
life sciences at Emory in the fall of 2005. More statistical methods
will be used like chi-square, student's t-test, and factorial analysis
of variance. After consulting with professors in science departments,
the determined which statistical methods should be addressed in
the course. Student hands-on projcets to help students learn how
to create a project, collect data, and analyze results will be included
in the new course.
