Two teachers created lesson plans for health and physical
education classes at this school.

Jormell Bland worked with Dr. Norton of Emory to create new lab
experiments for her AP Chemistry class at this school.
FD Roberts Middle School
Kippie Roberts developed strategies to help her students learn
the importance of math in everyday life.
Southside High School
Malaika Jordan created activities to make her physical science
class more interesting for her students.
Booker T. Washington Standardized Tests
To increase standardized test scores on the science sections of
exams taken by Booker T. Washington High School students,
Termerion McCrary developed Georgia Graduation Test Resource
Guides. The guides aid the teachers in helping the students
score over seventy-five percent.
Washington High School
Kenneth Starks developed an experiment to help his biology
students learn about DNA and Mendelian genetics.
Middle School Earth Science
Ms. Wand Ingram conducted summer research that she will use
to help teach her middle school Earth Sciences class.
Southside High School PBL
Maureen McManus developed PBL cases for her environmental
science and physical science classes at Southside High School.
Health Science and Engineering Academy
Juanice Woodall created a Health Science and Engineering
Academy at Southside High School after extensive research and
recruitment.
Chemistry at Southside High School
Trion Dubose-Arnold created two complete investigative cases
for her chemistry classes at Southside High School.
Renfroe Middle School
Susan Dundee created several lessons for her life science and
earth science classes at Renfroce Middle School. She also wrote
grants to have bird boxes and a pond built at the school.
Therrell High School
Adirenne Doanes is working with the ECCSE to help develop
Resource Guides that will help students successfully complete
the End of Course Tests. Another goal is to increase students'
belief that they can be successful in a four year institution after
high school.
