Postbaccalaureate Programs, or Post-Bac Programs, provide an alternate entry into postgraduate programs for students who have already obtained an undergraduate degree. Each program description includes the name of the sponsoring institution and contact information.

Johns Hopkins Post-baccalaureate Research
Education Program (PREP) provides mentored
research experience in top labs at Johns Hopkins,
annual salary and benefits (insurance and tuition
remission), preparation for the GRE exam,
preparation for graduate school applications and
interviews, support for attending scientific
meetings. For US citizens or permanent residents
and students who have attained a bachelor's
degree, or seniors about to graduate, in a
biomedical science discipline.

PennPREP Post-Baccalaureate Research
The University of Pennsylvania Post-Baccalaureate
Research Education Program (PennPREP) provides
one-to-two-year research experiences for students
who have completed college and are interested in
pursuing a doctoral degree in the basic biomedical
sciences. This program will provide a significant
research experience, along with preparation for
applying to and succeeding in graduate school.
Duke University PREP Program
Duke University's Post-Baccalaureate Research
Education Program (PREP) is designed for motivated
students from groups that are underrepresented in
the biomedical sciences. Underrepresented groups
include, but are not limited to, African-American,
Hispanic, Native American and US Pacific
Islanders. Duke PREP is appropriate for students
who have recently completed their bachelor's
degree, and who wish to obtain more experience and
preparation before entering a PhD graduate program.
National Human Genome Research Institute Post-Bac Program
The Post-Baccalaureate Intramural Research
Training Award (Post-Bac IRTA) provides the
opportunity for recent college graduates to spend
a year engaged in biomedical investigation in
