the Contributors

The
various contributors to this web project are members of the Freshmen Spring
2001 Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology Seminar "The Mismeasure
of Woman/The Mismeaure of Man" at Emory University, taught by Dr.
Patricia Marstellar. They have come from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
and have attempted to genuinely and productively address the underlying
issues defining the debate over race, the status of minorities, intelligence,
and education.

Nathan Ainslie is a college freshman from Carmel, Indiana, attending Emory University. He plans to major in either Computer Science or Neuroscience/Behavioral Biology. "My favorite quote, which I think applies to this course: 'If my grandmother had balls, she'd be my grandfather.' -Yiddish Proverb" Hugo Javier Aparicio is a freshman at Emory University from Lexington, KY. He is working towards majors in "Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology" and Journalism, with a minor in Spanish. He plans to go to medical school and then take over the world. He has written and designed the perspectives on standardized testing. Ashley Marie Cimino: I went to high school in an International Baccalaureatte Program in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and am considering majors in Biology and "Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology," with a possible minor in Spanish or Dance.I will most likely pursue a PhD and am interested in biological research, but also, and importantly, in all levels of education.
