Malaika Jordan developed ways to make science more fun and rewarding for physical science students at Southside High School. She created more than twenty "sponge" or activities done at the start of each class period, which would pique her students' interest in the topic matter covered each year by the Atlanta Public School (APS) End of the Course Test (EOCT). Using student feedback, Mrs. Jordan could then improve the class to make it even more enjoyable for subsequent years.
