The
Georgia Science Olympiad
GSO program at Georgia State University
provides the statewide leadership for the Georgia component of this

The
Elementary Science Education Partnership (ESEP)
ESEPs goal is to enhance science teaching in the APS elementary
schools by providing science materials and helping kindergarten
through fifth grade teachers to use inquiry-based instruction instead
of traditional didactic approaches that involve textbook-driven
lectures and rote memorizationons.
Health
Science Guides (HSG)
HSG recruits and places teams of graduate and professional student
partners in Metro Atlanta schools. The Program coordinates Science
and Health Education Instruction and develops hands-on curriculum
in the Human Health Sciences.
Classroom Speakers
We recruit Emory faculty and students
to conduct talks and seminars on current trends and developments
in the scientific arena. Speakers help to bring their real-life
experiences to enliven the classroom atmosphere and to stimulate
discussion and debate. Speakers are positive role models who introduce
students to various health and science careers.
