For
Emory students, a completed application packet includes the following
items:
- a
completed application form (hard copy, can be downloaded
from this site, see below)
- a
completed web
form --> this is different from item #1 above!
- a
transcript (may be unofficial)
- a
3-page long research proposal, typed, that follows the
Research Proposal Guildelines listed below.
- a
letter of recommendation from the faculty mentor in whose
laboratory you wish to work.
You
can get an application form through this page. The process involves
downloading a file to your computer. We offer these files in two
formats:
2003EU.rtf - This file is compatible
with a wide variety of operating systems. Your word processing program
should be able to open this file and you should be able to type
the information directly into the form, then print the completed
form.
2003EU.pdf - The file in pdf format
can be opened using Acrobat Reader(tm). Most browsers will launch
this program if available. You can download the Acrobat Reader at
no cost:

Remember,
you can e-mail us at srp@learnlink.emory.edu
to request a hard copy of the application materials, or you can
pick up a copy at our office (1399 Oxford Rd.,we are in the red
brick house).
Tips
for Emory University Applicants:
- In
the letter of recommendation, the research mentor should discuss
the student's research potential. These letters will help us identify
particularly promising students.
If
you have problems downloading any documents, contact
us. In your message, please indicate the computer platform are
using (e.g., Mac, Windows, Unix) and also indicate the version of
the web browser you were using. This information can help us pinpoint
the source of the problem.
If
you have any questions, please do not hesitate to visit our office
[1399 Oxford Rd., we are in the red brick house], e-mail us at srp@learnlink.emory.edu,
or call Cathy Quiñones at (404) 727-3439.
